The quarter section of land, (also known as the "Lock quarter") where the original coordinates are located was once owned by William Lock. Grandpa and Grandma Lock passed away in 1983 as a result of a car accident. Lockville water cooperative and Lockville Drive were named in honor of their location on the Lock quarter as well as in remembrance of the Lock family.
