Vint Hill Farms Station (VHFS) was a United States Army and National Security Agency (NSA) signals intelligence and electronic warfare facility until 1997. This spot provides a view (for now, anyway) of the abandoned barracks from this military installation.
The cache is on Fauquier County Parks land. Please note (and respect) the No Trespassing signs on the barracks themselves across the street. While exploring the area, I found that it was sometimes difficult to tell where public property ended and private property began. The central area around the ballparks are public, as is the near by dog park. However most of the other areas which have or contain remnants of the military base are private and waiting to be developed.
