Located along a public footpath close to Tongham Pool.
Cache is easily accessed from Aldershot Park where there is free parking. Walk across playing fields and along side of Tongham Pool. Or it can be accessed from Badshot Lea (parking available on the road) following the Blackwater Valley Path alongside the river. Please do not try and access from A331 this is neither safe or pleasant. (I didn't think it was possible until someone did it!)
Tongham Pool was formed through gravel extraction for the construction of the Blackwater Valley Relief Road A331 wbhich runs along the east side of the site. Since then the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership have worked with Surrey and Guildford Councils to restore the site to an area which has public access and features for nature conservation. The River Blackwater forms the western boundary of the site. This is home to ducks, swans, geese and coots. The cache contains a log book, pencil and small swaps. There is room for small TB's. ***CONGRATULATIONS*** FTF ikran3. STF daymo&bex. TTF stoneysjl.
