Geocache Description:

You could walk in here in summertime but it would be best to go in the winter as it is along a well-groomed ski trail.  There is also a very solidly built warm-up shack here which was erected by the Flin Flon Ski Club. It is open year round and you are welcome enter and rest a while.

Carlisle Lake was named for P/O Eldon Carlisle who was a member of the RCAF. He died in action in 1941. There is a letter posted on the wall which describes the naming of the lake in his honour. The container is an old candy tin which dates to the time of King George VI. It contains a number of pins as well as a logbook and pencil.
