So ... in honor of the grand 'ole Man in the Moon I have begun a series of caches that I will call The Many Moons. A new Full Moon cache will be hidden each month near the time of a full moon. Each cache will bear the Native American name of the full moon for the month that the cache is hidden.

The Algonquin tribes called this moon the Hunter Moon because now is the time of year that the leaves are falling and big game is fattened. It is also the time of year for many days of hunting and laying in a store of provisions for the long winter ahead.
