Geocache Description:

Located west of Fallon Nevada a few miles off Hwy 50 out in the southern end of 40 mile desert.

The first time I came upon this bazaar spot it put me in mind of a set form a movie made from a Steven King novel. I am not sure just how or why the mounds came to be here. I'll leave it up to ya'll to pounder the what where when how. You will pass by what was once part of the dog track brothel that was out here in the late 50s early 60s.. This will take you over and thru some soft sand and there is a small sand dune hill with very soft sand that you will need 4 wheel drive to get up. update There was an illegal dog track and brothel located near this spot back in the late 50’s or early 60’s. From what I have been able to find out the local ranches would trade for favors from the soiled doves or bet live stock on the dog races or fights. The lady who ran the place would gut them and feed them to the dogs; the piles are where they drug off the remains.
