Geocache Description:

The 123rd in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box. The only rule is that they have to be able to be photographed together, and the phone boxes have to be red.

A Fine Pair - Scot Hay, Staffordshire

Scot Hay is a hamlet located outside the town of Newcastle-under-lyme, Staffordshire, England. It is located near Keele University and also the villages of Silverdale and Keele. It has a lively community spirit and cricket club. and hosts a scarecrow festival in July.

Parking is good just by the GZ and it's just a short walk to the final location of the cache...to one of the finest views over the Cheshire Plain

A very short multi with just a couple of tasks...

The cache is located at:

N 53° 01.ABC W 002° 18.DEF

To find the cache:

You will need to find a number on a small plaque at the bottom of the green trellis to the left of the phone box. Subtract 1509 from this number to get ABC

There is a telegraph pole next to the GZ with a very faded 4 digit number - 1198 = DEF (read it carefully!)

Hopefully you should have your co-ordinates to the final location...

The Fine Pair series was originally started by wizardsmum.

If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do, I would just ask that you let mattd2k know first so he can keep track of the numbers and names to avoid duplication.

He also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series so once your cache is published please contact him via his profile page to have yours added.
