On October 4, 2014 the City of Folsom dedicated the Johnny Cash Trail, a bike and pedestrian pathway near the corners of E. Natoma Street and Folsom Lake Crossing.
Johnny Cash helped make Folsom famous with his live performance at Folsom Prison in 1968. His hit "Folsom Prison Blues" became a worldwide sensation.
The trail features a bridge over Folsom Lake Crossing and a bike path next to a lot that will eventually be a small park dedicated to the singer's memory. From the trail you can look over pristine prison grounds and see wildlife such as turkeys and deer.
A small cache just big enough for the log and maybe a tiny swag item or two.
Congrats to gfking42 for FTF!
