This is the beginning, or the end, depending on how you look at it, of the trail. Or is it? The trail actually continues 1/2 mile to the north and connects to the Town of Whitestown sidewalk system. But there is no parking up there. Plans are to eventually have it continue to the north and connect to the eventual Deputy Kurt Wyman Memorial Park, which will allow for more parking.
UPDATE - As of as of 5/6/2015, the Ash tree lost it's battle with the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive beetle, and was taken down. There's nothing funny about the beetle. It destroys the ash tree within a year or two. Trust me, I know. I have lost three trees on my property to this beast. They were beautiful trees, and now they are completely dead. Please be aware of the firewood transportation restrictions in your State. In NYS, it's 50 miles from the firewood's source. Cache is no longer "in Ash", but darn near close to where the Ash used to be, and is now a small container, room for small trinkets.
There will be a small pencil in cache to start, but I suggest BYOP also. Please place cache back with some good "cover" over it. We wouldn't want the groundskeepers to find it. This can certainly be a "Cache and Dache" (less than 10 ft from a parking spot), but please use ninja tactics, as this is, without a doubt, a high muggle area.
