A Birthday Cache
This birthday cache is planted in honor of my geocaching buddy and it is my hope that it will honor her greatly.
Tall Poppy is an Australian term meaning someone of preeminence or with a large income; important and powerful person. It is a person that is head and shoulders above the rest. Who excels at whatever they do. In short, they are exceptional.
To me this describes my friend perfectly. She is a brilliant thinker, grounded with good knowledge, kind hearted, and is anchored deep in good common sense. While she is very quiet and may appear shy at first, she is well worth any investment of time to get to know her. She is quick witted, and has a sense of humor that keeps a giggle percolating on the inside for hours. In addition to her many talents, she is also a great wife, mother and an eloquent wordsmith. Happy Birthday Hypatia Penny!
As you look for this cache keep in mind that Tall Poppies have a great view in any direction. Be prepared to take in some amazing views no matter what time of day you find yourself here. A camera would be in order as you gaze on the amazing sunrises or the bountiful array of colors in the sunsets. Please feel free to post those pictures, I know my friend would love them.
Tall Poppies also don't arrive at their greatness without a little hard work. You will have a short hike over some rugged terrain to get to this amazing cache. As always, beware of the cactus, desert critters and possible running waters in raining seasons.
