Geocache Description:

A Wherigo Challenge to Complete the 100km MacLehose Trail. This tough trail is only for keen geo hikers.

Fun Facts:

-This route is based on Oxfam Trailwalker, one of the largest fundraising sporting events in Hong Kong. Since 1986, more than 77,000 participants have raised over HK$393 million to support Oxfam's various poverty alleviation and emergency relief projects in Africa and Asia. However, there are still around one billion people living in poverty, and they really need your support.

-Oxfam Trailwalker is a challenging team event requiring a team of four to complete the 100km MacLehose Trail within a 48-hour time limit and encourage each other along the way, facing every difficulty together.

-Team GeoWalker, a team of four keen geocachers: cx15, samshlau, papriku and bear&cat, made a pledge to combine our love of hiking and the outdoors with the biggest charity event in Hong Kong. Their motto is: "Hiking and Geocaching for Charity" Combining two great Hong Kong hobbies for a good cause! And they found 12 caches during the race!

-With the enormous support from the local geocaching community, Team Geowalker completed the race at 27h14m, 1h16m ahead of their target finish time. During this challenging hike, there were twelve caches discovered including this D5/T5 wherigo cache.
