This is a series of three geocaches, varying in difficulty, placed around or very near the three lakes in Southampton Common. These are the first traditional caches to be placed in the Common. It's one of the greenest spaces in Southampton, and is ideal for a nice day out walking with friends, or the dog, or even to have a nice picnic on a sunny day. I hope these caches will help you to discover this gem of a park. Who knows, you might even stop off to get an ice cream, or spend some time in the play area. Since the original cache and its replacement both went missing, I've had to change this to a 35mm film canister. Please bring your own pen to sign the log book. BE SURE TO REHIDE THE CACHE WELL! Permission for this cache has been obtained from the Hawthorn's Urban Wildlife Centre (allow anything as long as it is not a built structure etc.)
