<PL> W 1935 roku, na terenie obecnego Parku Szczęśliwickiego, profesor L. Sawicki wykopał szczątki nosorożca Dicerorhinus mercki . Materiał w formie zębów został zbadany w 1962 roku przez Teresę Czyżewską. Gatunek ten występował na tym terenie w środkowym i górnym czwartorzędzie Europy środkowej. Znalezisko na Szczęśliwicach jest jednym z siedmiu w Polsce i jednym z najbardziej wysuniętym na północ stanowiskiem w Europie Środkowej.

<EN> In 1935, at the area of the current Szczesliwice Park, the remains of the rhino Dicerorhinus mercki have been unearthed, by the professor L. Sawicki. The specimens in the form of the teeth have been examined in 1962 by Teresa Czyzewska. That species has been present in that region in the central european middle and upper quaternary. Szczesliwice find is one of the seven such places in Poland, and it is most northern position in the Central Europe.
The geocache is a small conatiner, hidden in the Szczesliwice Park, near the Szczesliwice Pond lakeshore. Bring your own pencil!
