Not only had the cache gone, but even the marking white rock too.

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden on the Hennops Hiking Trail.

For more information go to the website (hennops.co.za).The turn-off to the entrance from the main road (R511) is located at S25 47.867 E27 59.497. The information hut is located at S25 47.883 E27 59.388 where you may be directed to a safe parking area. There is an entrance and hiking fee, please check the web page for the current price.

The Cache is hidden on the Krokodilberg hiking Trail which is 11,33 km long and traverses a scenic mountainous area so bring along your camera. Please note that there are no water points on the hiking routes.

Remember to be prepared, BYOP and the Cache container may be able to hold small trade items or a small TB.

Please note the Cache is NOT inside or on top of the Kiln and take care as you could fall inside.

The Kiln was used around 1900 to produce Quicklime (CaO) from Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) mined from the Dolomite in the area.
