Geocache Description:

This is the first Earthcache in Peachtree City, Georgia.  The cache is located at a natural pond with a stream and a spring providing water to it. The spring is caused by a fracture in the granite below. This granite is actually located on the fault that created Stone Mountain.  If you want, bring a fishing pole and catch a small bass.

Logging tasks:  What causes water to come through Earth's crust in the form of a spring?  How do you think this pond was formed?  What mineral causes the water flowing from the spring to be bronze-shaded?  To make sure you visted the site answer this question:  How many holes in this spring does water come out of?  If you have a tough time finding the spring, look for bronze-shaded water about 20 feet west from where the stream enters the pond.
