The Speyside Way is one of four official Long Distance Routes in Scotland (the others are the West Highland Way, the Southern Upland Way and the Great Glen Way). It was first opened in 1981, to run from Spey Bay to Ballindalloch, with a spur to Tomintoul being added in 1990. A northern extension from Spey Bay to Buckie followed in 1999, with the route being further extended from Ballindalloch toAviemore in April 2000. The route now links the Moray coast with the edge of the Grampian Mountains, generally following the valley of the River Spey. For more information please visit http://www.speysideway.org

Der Speyside Way ist einer der vier offiziellen überregionalen Fernwanderwege in Schottland, dazu gehören auch der West Highland Way, der Southern Upland Way und der Great Glen Way.
Der Weg wurde 1981 eröffnet und verläuft von der Spey Bay nach Ballindalloch. Eine Route nach Tomintoul wurde 1990 hinzugefügt. Die nördliche Erweiterung des Weges von der Spey Bay nach Buckie wurde 1999 verwirklicht. Der letzte Abschnitt, der im April 2000 fertiggestellt wurde, verbindet Ballindalloch und Aviemore. Seitdem verläuft der Speyside Way von der Moray-Küste zu den Ausläufern der Grampian Mountains und folgt überwiegend dem Tal des Flusses Spey und in weiten Teilen dem Verlauf der stillgelegten Bahnstrecke Strathspey Railway.
