Geocache Description:

Albury-Wodonga is fortunate to have such a great natural asset in the form of Nail Can Hill Reserve right on its doorstep. Nail Can Hill is used by thousands of residents and tourists each year, and numerous community groups also stage events and utilise the area for recreation, environmental and educational purposes.

The cache is easily accessible from the Range Rd car park and is one of several in the area. If you are traversing the Ridge Trail, then a short diversion down Range Track will also bring you to the location. You are looking for a cache hidden by the local little people.

 Brewster_Higley

The cache is named after that famous old western song “Home, Home on the Range” with apologies to Dr. Brewster M. Higley of Smith County, Kansas who penned the original lyrics in the 1870’s.

You can sing along to the tune while hunting the cache.

“Oh, give me a home where the dog walkers roam

Where the birds and the bike riders play

Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,

And the sky is not cloudy all day.

Chorus

Gnome, Gnome on the range,

Where the dogs and the bike riders play,

Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,

And the sky is not cloudy all day.
