The around Greytown circuit trail is approximately 13 km. The route is well marked with orange track markers and is best completed in a clockwise direction starting at the Cotter St entrance to the Greytown - Woodside Rail Trail.
Section I. The Greytown - Woodside Rail Trail (approx 5 .0 Kms)
Complete the Rail Trail which emerges on Woodside Rd just near the railway crossing and the start of The Waiohine River Link Track 170 meters north east of here.
Section II The Waiohine River Link Track (approx 4.0 Kms)
Cross the stile and follow the orange markers to the river then to Kuratawhiti St. This is a rough track and is best suited to experienced runners, walkers or mountain bikers. Since the track crosses over private land in several places dogs are not allowed. When the track emerges at Kuratawhiti St continue down stream for approx 300 metres to the start of the Lions River Trail.
Section III The Lions River Trail (approx 1.5 kms)
Follow the Lions River Trail for its full length until it joins Udy St.
Section IV Back to the start join up. (approx 2.0 kms)
Travel via Udy, Mole, Wood, Kempton and Cottle Sts back to the start.
