Going to the Island? Then check out the P.E.C.T. – Port Elgin (to) Cape Tormentine trail series– 130+ caches along a 30 km section of the Sentier NB Trail / Trans Canada Trail along an abandoned rail bed.
This series makes for a great hike//bike ride during the spring to fall and a nice snowshoe/cross country ski during the winter.
Approximately half of the trail is easy hiking/biking, and half consists of large, coarse gravel that makes biking very difficult. All cache hides are winter friendly and less than 20m from the rail bed, though they may require steep descents.
Please leave as found (or better) and sign the logbook!
