This cache replaces the "Coyote Ranching" cache (GCRZ0K), which was muggled for the last time, leaving its location compromised and known to muggles. This replacement is in a different place, uses a very different hide technique, and is a completely different experience for cachers, so it deserves to be a new cache. Like its predecessor, it marks an important milepost on the Coyote Creek Trail. Here the trail crosses Coyote Ranch Road. Across the road, the equestrian trail goes straight through a field. The bike trail parallels the road, then turns right at historic Coyote Ranch and follows the service road by the fenced off dog-training facility. To the west, the road branches off Monterey Highway in the tiny farming town of Coyote. The cache is located next to the trail. There's no need for off-trail bushwhacking or to step very far off the trail. The main things to watch out for are ants, horses, spiders, and muggles, particularly bikers. This cache is in-between "Power Madness" (GCRT23) and "Coyote Creek Fume" (GCT2GG). It contains a pencil and has room for very small trading items. Make sure you cover it up. There are places to park in the general area, but watch out for the "no parking" signs. I don't think you can park on the road nearest to the cache, at least not legally. The Coyote Creek Trail and adjacent road are flat and paved, and the cache is close to the trail, so it should be wheelchair-accessible, depending on how well the weeds are trimmed.
4/27/16: the cache was probably a victim of trail reconstruction. I replaced it with a simpler container a short distance away.
9/30/22: the cache was muggled. I replaced it with a slightly larger container a few feet to the right.
