Geocache Description:

How great a hunter are you?!? Do you have what it takes to be an Olympic Biathlon athlete? As local hunters will know, the area where this cache is located is often hunted for small game and large. You will have to combine your cache-hunting skills with Olympic Biathlon skills to hunt this cache down!

The name of this cache was inspired by a cache hunt Avalanche and I did back in the year 2003 (GCG6Z5, Goosefare Brook). It was our first DNF, and the logs written by hunters for that one tell a tale of frustration on the part of many to find that cache. We did manage to snag that cache 2 years later, but it was luck, not skill, that got us the final. That particular cache is listed as a regular but really is a multi or puzzle, as the cache is not at the listed coords. Anyway, comments on that cache page led to the name of this one!

In order to find this cache:

First of all, find the parking spot near the posted coordinates (I own the nearby "Olympic Training Facility", so have no concerns about parking here!).

Next, scan the area carefully using your finely-honed sniper skills to obtain the information needed to track down the cache location. Shoot out the correct target to reveal the missing numbers.

Finally, race off to find the cache itself. You may or may not have an easy time tracking down the cache, depending on your experience and ability to find a well-camouflaged cache.

Once you have the cache in hand, please return it exactly as found so that the next hunter has the same experience you did. Then, feel free to drop by the training headquarters if it is open and have a cold drink or hot cup of tea (depending on the season) and relate a great hunting story as only hunters can!

Happy Hunting!

The road is a bit rough, and can be slippery on a rainy day but is usable even by a small car, so just take your time and you will be fine!
