Allen began caching in 2010 and his 1st find was “Only A Dollar #4” - a micro cache in a parking lot. His 1K find was GZ on 3/17/13… That was Dame Deco’s very nice, but very evil, hide near Ravenna. He tried twice before, like many of us, but finally figured it out and asked her about his theory and the solution. She said he was right and then accompanied him to make the find and do some maintenance on the cache.
Allen has found caches in 11 states. He presently has 22 caches placed around the area. They include 14 Traditional, 5 Multis, 2 Mystery, and 1 Earth Cache. He placed his 1st cache in August of 2010 - some in pretty unique locations. He enjoys attending SRTC monthly events.
MrFisherman likes it most when he can participate in both caching and catching, fish that is…and he combines both whenever he can.
His motto is “make something hard out of something easy” and he lives up to it more than he would like. Attempting the cache “Did Ya Check the Terrain Rating”, he went to the overlook above the Cuyahoga River and then followed the trail down the south side of the cliff, and across the bottom of cliff slide area to get to the cache. The long and impossible way to go! … Had the cliff face let go – we would never, ever have seen MrFisherman again - caching or catching !!!
Congrats to a truly unique cacher !!!
The cache is hidden just north of the camping area in Silver Springs Park 5238 Young Road. There is another access to the west part of the park and more caches entering from 5027 Stow Road.
This large 280 acre park houses the Silver Springs Lodge and Heritage Barn. The park is famous for the S.O.A.R. Boundless Playground for children of all abilities. When visiting the park, you will also find Bow Wow Beach, the City’s Dog Park; lit tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, outdoor shelters, and many hiking and cross country ski trails.
This is a City park so daylight caching only - Please.
Congratulations MrFisherman for the FTF !!!
