As the weather is warming up and my studies drawing to a close for the year, I feel it is time for an event! After some contemplation as to what sort of event I would like to hold, like a picnic or a kayak, I decided to settle for something in the middle. This spot offers something for the bold and the not so bold. The walk meanders down this beautiful creek (will post up some photos soon). It is possible to do the whole walk without getting your feet wet, however it is much easier to wade in some sections. There is limited climbing involved, any 'tricky sections can be made very easy with the aid of the (hopefully) many people that will come on the event. For the more game, there are a few great spots for a swim, shower and even a 3-4 meter jump rock down the end. THIS PART IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL.
The essentials:
-When: 23/11/2014, 11am-4pm (some geotalk and other discussion may extend this time, it is your choice as to when you leave)
What to bring:
- Shoes that can get wet, however, we find barefoot to be much easier
- Swimmers (if you plan to get wet)
- Backpack with some food and water for lunch/snacks.
- Camera (if waterproof)
- Cheerful attitude and a smile
We will meet at the car park waypoint. Here we will wait for all people who posted a "Will attend" log before we descend into the creek. Hope to see as many of you there as possible!
