Experience the Military Connection with Monmouth via our trail with a view; See the castle, cross the river and strole up the lane. The Royal Monmounthshire Royal Engineers (Militia) the oldest Reserve Regiment and still serving needs of the nation.

The Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers (Militia)

The Regimental Headquarters is based in the grounds of Monmouth Castle and at Vauxhall Camp, in Monmouth. The modern Regiment still operates from Monmouthshire and consists of a RHQ Troop and three Field Squadrons based out of a number of Army Reserve Centres located in Monmouth, Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham and the Channel Islands.
