Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches devoted to the James Bond movies.  Most will be easy, because things usually come easy to Bond, but there will be a few surprises here and there.

Congratulations to Den of Earth for the FTF!

This cache is located along the new bikeway constructed by the City of Blue Ash along Reed Hartman Highway.  It is now possible to go by bike from Cornell Road all the way to Cooper Road on this path.

It is best to approach the cache by bike, but if you drive, do not stop (or even slow down) along Reed Hartman.  People are either hurrying to work or hurrying home on this road.  There is plenty of off street parking nearby.

Movie #: 09

Title:  The Man with the Golden Gun

Year: 1974

Bond: Roger Moore

Villain: Scaramonga (Christopher Lee, one of the movies' classic villains)

Woman: Anders (Maud Adams, who also played the title role in Octopussy)

Song:  The Man with the Golden Gun, performed by Lulu

Memorable character:  Nick Nack, played by Herve Villechaize, also known for his role as Tattoo in Fantasy Island

Memorable stunt: Bond's gun battle against Scaramanga in his Hall of Mirrors.

Memorable quote: Bond: Who would pay $1 million to have me killed?  M: Jealous husbands, outraged chefs, humiliated tailors - the list is endless.

This was Roger Moore's first film.  He brought a lighter, more humorous slant to the role of Bond which purists decried, preferring the edgier Bond played by Connery.  However Moore ended up making 7 Bond films and was one of the most successful Bonds of all time.
