4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This is the second puzzle cache from BISSRA which will bring you to a park in Rivervale. Soccer is considered to be the most popular sports in the World and in Australia the number of soccer fans is growing continuously since the inception of the A-LEAGUE.

With the BISSRA boys also love watching soccer (football) especially the English Premier League. I think it would be great to do a soccer theme puzzle cache, to introduce you with some of my favourite players!

The cache is not at the listed coordinates.

To solve the puzzle, you need to know the answers to each of the following six questions. Oh, forgot to tell you that I like algebra as well! Find out my favourite players’ name, solve the equations listed below and you will be able to get the final coordinate.

The final coordinate is at: S 31. ä. ß E 115. ç. Đ

C + E = ä - D

(B X F) +B = ß - D

B + D + E = ç + A - F

(D x C) + F = Đ

A) A French football player who is a legend of Manchester United where he won four Premier League titles there. He wore the number 7 shirt at Manchester United, which was subsequently wore by David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.

B) An Italian footballer who is known as The Divine Ponytail, for the hairstyle he wore for most of his career, for his talent, and for his Buddhist beliefs. He is largely remembered for missing the decisive penalty in the shootout of the 1994 World Cup Final against Brazil.

C) An Argentine footballer who played most of his career for the Italian club Internazionale, from 1995 to 2014 and won five Serie A titles. He is also the most capped player ever for Argentina. He had a nickname of 'The Tractor' because of his strength, resilience, stamina, and his ability to run past opposing defenders when joining the attack from his right back position.

D) He is a Dutch footballer who won three Premier League titles with Arsenal. His fear of flying condition has severely limited his ability to play in away matches in European competitions and to travel with the national team. In some cases, he would travel overland by car or train, but the logistics of some matches were such that he would not travel at all.

E) A Romanian footballer who is considered the greatest Romanian footballer of all time and named Romanian Footballer of the Year seven times. One of his famous goal was striking the ball from halfway during a thick fog that the goal keeper was not aware until the ball floated into the net.

F) A Japanese midfielder who won the Asian Football Confederation Player of the Year award twice. He announced his retirement at age 29 after a ten-year career in the Italian Serie A and the English Premier League. At the 2006 FIFA World Cup, His performance against Croatia earned him a Man of the Match award.

The name of this cache refers to a phrase that one of our members loves to use (so its not a reference to the cache location or anything like that). A BISSRA pathtag will be there for the FTF, happy Geocaching!
