As you walk down the streets of the University of Oklahoma's Campus Corner, quaint little shops catch your eye. Wondering along the sidewalk, something appears odd about that booth. A sign reads BOB the Borrow a Book, a community book exchange - cool! But there is something more to be found!

Hi! My name is BOB, I am a Borrow a Book micro library set up in Norman, OK by the nonprofit Earth Rebirth for the community to enjoy for free. My goal is to help you recycle, reuse and enjoy books that might end up in the trash, attic or under a bed. Books are meant to be enjoyed and we all have books we don't want to see wasted but don't know what to do with - old textbooks, children's books, magazines, comics, nonfiction, fantasy. I want to bring back the sense of community in reading good works of writing. I was born on December 4th, 2012. My creators at Earth Rebirth thought that the city of Norman could benefit from me. And going on almost 2 years, here I am. I have managed to help you recycle over 3,000 books and all kinds of awesome materials have passed over my shelves. Better yet, I continue to be improved as time goes on! There have been newspaper articles about me and blogs - not to brag, but I'm kind of a big deal. I even have my own Facebook page! Search BOB the Borrow a Book. Am I not an awesome idea? I'm lonely though. I would like to have a family of BOBs here in Norman. But I need to make a statement; I want to overflow my shelves.
