Fushimi Inari Taisha is my favorite place in the world and since I came here for the first time in 2005, I come back every time I'm in Japan. This year was the first year I also did geocaching and thanks to the other caches on the mountain, I discovered areas I would have never seen otherwise :-)
The cache is hidden along the main path, though you have to take a short detour up the hill. Sometimes you will find stone stairs leading up to small altars and small stone torii - whenever you find something like this, you should check it out! The cache is not hidden in/on an altar though, but not far from one. See the hint if you can't find it!
