AFCarterFamily: Well, like many of my caches around Alamogordo, I think I spent more time designing it, building it, and placing it than it ever lasted. I was given the sad news today that this cache has been officially destroyed. I won't venture a guess at how it happened, but it just seems odd that all of our hides seem to have the same fate. I simply don't have the time or motivation to continue the upkeep on these more involved caches.
I want to say a personal thank you to all those who play the game day in and day out with respect to other cachers, and the makers who put these out. It's unfortunate that other people, both in the game and outside of it, decide to make things harder on us and ruin what should be a relaxing and fun hobby.
It is with a deep sense of regret that I must archive this one. I sincerely apologize to anyone who didn't get to enjoy it while it lasted, and to those who tried but never succeeded at cracking the hints. For anyone wondering, a flashlight (or bright sunlight) would have been directed into the drilled holes on the side of the box. The finder would have had to look through the peep-hole/viewer at the same time in order to see the combination for the lock written on the inside of the box.
This cache is officially offline. :(
