Geocache Description:

Go to the Middlebrook Encampment located on Middlebrook Road between Vossler Ave and Mountain Ave in Bound Brook. Park the car and let the GPS do the work. This is a very small park and unfortunately doesn't have hiking trails. While you're there you can take in a little history. The cache is well hidden to make it somewhat of a challenge.

By special act of Congress, the Betsy Ross flag is flown here 24 hours each day to commemorate Washington's army having encamped in this area June 14th 1777. The first official "13-Star Flag" made by Betsy Ross was flown over Washington's troops here.

Every 4th of July people gather here to witness the reading of the Declaration of Independence. Guest speakers such as Christine Todd Whittman have read the Declaration in the past.
