La breve multi-cache vi darà modo di scoprire una piccola curiosità custodita nella stupenda Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Bergamo Alta (che merita più di una visita frugale) ricca di stucchi barocchi sopra una pianta romanica.

Il vostro percorso inizia nella Basilica di santa Maria Maggiore: dovrete rendere omaggio al grande artista bergamasco, avvicinandovi, con riverenza, al suo eterno giaciglio.

Compreso il significato dei numeri, dovrete uscire dalla silente chiesa e per scoprire dove vi aspetta il cache dovrete "suonare" una melodia al cielo, in omaggio al compositore Bergamasco.
Il sentiero del cache vi farà passare davanti al Museo Donizettiano, dove si conservano manoscritti, cimeli, oggetti pertinenti a Donizetti: lettere, partiture, libretti originali, libri, autografi musicali, ritratti, dagherrotipi, la camera da letto e il fortepiano a coda del quale Donizetti ha scritto al cognato “Non vendere per qualunque prezzo quel pianoforte, che racchiude tutta la mia vita artistica. Dal 1822 l’ho nelle orecchie; là vi mormorano le Anne, le Marie, le Fauste, le Lucie ....”
L’arte di Gaetano Donizetti va considerata come il culmine della musica italiana nel suo momento di passaggio dal tiepido romanticismo di Gioacchino Rossini a quello appassionato di Giuseppe Verdi.

This cache would be the first of a series dedicated to Gaetano Donizetti, Bergamo' great musician and opera composer of the first half of the nineteenth century.
During the years the city of Bergamo has dedicated to him monuments and museums to keep alive the memory of this great citizen.
The short multi-cache give you the opportunity to discover a little curiosity kept in the wonderful Basilica of Saint Mary Major in upper city (that deserves more than a spare visit)

Your journey begins inside the Basilica of Saint Mary Major: you'll have to pay homage to the great artist: approaching, with reverence, to his eternal bed.

Understood the meaning of the numbers, you'll have to get out of the silent church and find out where the cache lie, to do that you will have to "play" a music to the sky, in homage to the composer of Bergamo.
The path of cache passes in front of the Donizetti Museum, which houses manuscripts, relics, objects relevant to Donizetti: letters, scores, libretti originals, books, autographs, music, portraits, daguerreotypes, the bedroom and the grand piano which Donizetti wrote to the brother, "Do not sell for any price that piano, which contains my entire artistic life. Since 1822 I have in my ears; there will mutter the Anne, the Marie, the Fauste, the Lucie .... "
The Art of Gaetano Donizetti to be regarded as the pinnacle of Italian music in its moment of transition from the warm romance of Gioacchino Rossini to the enthusiastic one of Giuseppe Verdi.
