Geocache Description:

The cache is on the boundary of the Victoria Golf Club. A stellar example of a Garry Oak tree is nearby and the surrounding area is part of the local Garry Oak ecosystem. Be sure to enjoy a view of the Olympic Mountains (across the Strait of Juan de Fuca) or Mt. Baker (across Georgia Strait). Nearby beaches, parks, lookout points and the Oak Bay Marina make this a year-round tourist attraction.

The cache site is easily accessible with some nearby parking. Enjoy the scenery, a perfect Garry Oak tree and the wonderful beach, mountain and ocean scenery coming and going from the site. Watch for muggles...high tourist area. Established in 1893, the Victoria Golf Club is the oldest golf course in Canada on the original site, but there is no need to enter the couse to access this mid-size cache. This cache will be used to send several golf related travel bugs to various golf courses around the world. If you are fortunate enough to find one of these bugs, please be a golfer and willing to take it on a journey to your favourite course where you will post pictures of your round or enjoying the 19th hole!
