Geocache Description:

This was the second in the Beatrix Potter series that myself and Green Panther are creating. It can link to the many others in our series and which we have put around our home town of Glossop.

As mentioned, this cache can be linked to the first of our Beatrix Potter series and others that we have placed, & in recent years we have named many of the cachers after her books to reflect both her great work local animals living here. The path up can be wet and slippery, as it is uneven and rocky, especially in the winter months, & going past Beautiful Quarry (the home of Samuel Whiskers) is another to collect on your way there. To make this a really good walking route (it can take 2-3 hours) you can also try to get to other cachers we have placed in the area which includes; Jeremy Fisher Johnny Townmouse Hunca Munca's Hideout Jenny Wren Peter Rabbit returns Mrs. Tittlemouse Squirrel Nutkins

During the autumn/winter months it is best to wear stout shoes/boots and be prepared for changes in the weather. When the days become lighter and the weather improves, you'll be rewarded with lovely views of Glossop on this circular route.
