[ITA] Vittorio Veneto nacque il 27 settembre 1866 con l'unione dei preesistenti comuni di Ceneda e Serravalle. Assunse il nome di "Vittorio" il 22 novembre 1866 in omaggio a Vittorio Emanuele II, primo re d'Italia. L'appellativo "Veneto" era usato abitualmente soprattutto dopo la battaglia e venne ufficializzato, assieme al conferimento del titolo di città, con RD 22 luglio 1923 n. 1765.
