Photo used with great gratitude for and permission from NavdogThis is an offset cache, which means you will be looking for a metal tag with the final cache coordinates written on it. You will not need to move the tag to read it.
This is a neat little hike (1.5 mile loop) with fairly level trails. Bring your camera as you just may see some wildlife. You really don't need to leave the trail to find the metal tag. The ammo box cache is a little off the trail, but only a few yards. Though you might be tempted to cut across country to save time, please don't.
Remember, this is a wildlife preservation area! We don't want to see footprints carved through the hill from tag to cache! Stay ON THE TRAIL...Please leave no trace, and if you see any trash pack it out.
