Cache can be approached on public footpaths from St Bee's or Moor Row or Sandwith or if you want a shorter walk there is parking for one car on the B5345 at the entrance to Bell House Farm (but be careful not to block the farm road).
In the next field you can meet some lovely Shetland ponies, they like apples and polos. However they are free to wander onto the path so might be an idea to keep dogs on leads and children close.
