The grade 456 students at Koroit and District Primary School have been creating Geocaches inline with their mapping unit. They have learned about scale, location and legends. The students have also learned about their local community and have created their own geocache with a description and hint.
The statue of the potato farmer at the Blackwood centre is one of the original people to settle in Koroit. There was an influx of irish imimigrants who moved here for the fertile soil. When Tower Hill erupted it feterlized the soil and and made it great farming land.
