The cache is located by a beautiful beach that not too many
people know about. My parents found out about it several years ago
from a friend, but never found the right road to get there till
they asked a DNR Ranger. No permit is needed for this area. If I
can make it back there in my little Saturn, anyone can. Just be
wary of soft sand and the odd traveler coming at you head on.
The cache is in a 40oz. Utz pretzel jar with lots
of room.
Placed this cache with my dog Snow. He had a blast and slept all
the way home, even on the bumpiest stretches of road.
There should still be several Ziploc Baggies, please use them, let
me know if the cache needs more. I'm trying to introduce a rule of
thumb for the longevity of my and other caches. Putting lots of
baggies in a cache is important. Please put all items in a baggie
(whether you think it needs it or not (once it gets moist, mold may
ensue)). The LOG BOOK should be double bagged with the Pen and
Pencil in the outer bag (to prevent poking holes in the bag with
the log book). This really helps to keep the contents dry. Even
though a container may be sealed when placed, sometimes things may
make tiny holes in the container, condensation is the real enemy,
and often occurs whether there are holes or not. THANK YOU FOR YOUR
COMPLIANCE!
