Countryside Conservancy has done an excellent job of acquiring the land and funds to build this nicely done trail. It consists of 2.3 miles of fine crushed stone and a few short areas where you will need to walk a roadway. There are more plans in the works, as the funding comes in, to extend this section of trail all the way to Lake Winola, where the trolley used to drop off tourists at the amusement park that once existed there. Now the only thing left is a parking lot where children's laughter once was heard. These caches are not meant to be too difficult, but some will be challenging.Most are close to the trail, but a few will have you off-trail a little way. Dogs must be on a short leash. Please remember to bring some water and your camera. You may run into all sorts of wildlife. The trail ending in Dalton on S.Turnpike Rd. has no parking, but there is alternate parking at the Church of the Epiphany on Church Hill Rd. in Glenburn.
