La Cocina Traditional Cache

This compound apparently was a labor camp in the early days of the pecan orchards in the area.  The cache is in the kitchen (La Cocina) as is evidenced by the serving window, fireplace for cooking, and access to the rear 'pantry'.  Across the courtyard is evidence of a communal wash station as well as living quaqrters.  Some of the strange noises you might hear are from the squirrels living under the buildings.  Just a neat old place reminiscent of how times might have been.
