Make your way to the trailhead, located just past the Northwest end of Major's Hill Park. When heading in towards the cache, I would recommend keeping to the right-most trail. There is no need to step off the trail to retrieve the cache.
From this location, there is a good view of the Ottawa River, the Rideau Canal locks, and the back of the Parliament buildings.
If you are feeling adventurous, you could take one of the steep paths down towards the water, but it is quite a challenge to get back up!
Do not venture too much further along the trail, as there are No Trespassing signs once you get closer to the bridge.
There is only room enough for small swag. At the time of placement, the cache contained
- a rubber monkey,
- a plastic green maple leaf,
- a pencil,
- and a log.
Please place the cache back so that it is hidden from view.
