From this trailhead to the Woodlands Center and back is 6.1 miles and this is how we know that:
La and I wanted to take in a short hike/walk one Saturday afternoon. She parked her car at the Woodlands Center parking lot and we drove my truck to this trailhead with the intention of hiking to her car and DRIVING back. We hiked and walked and overcame the steep hill at Minorca and a few other small challenges along the way. We made it to her car and I said "that wasnt too bad now was it?" About that time La realized she had left her car key in my truck...back at the trailhead where we started. After a good laugh and short rest, we hiked back to this trailhead where our adventure started and we were no worse for wear and created a fun memory.

Hot Springs Village is the largest gated community in the United States with 26,000 acres. Geocaching Gate passes can be obtained at the Highway 7 West Gate at any time and at the Highway 5 East Gate between the hours of 6 am and Midnight. Gate personnel have been notified and you can cache at any time but PLEASE DO NOT HUNT CACHES AFTER DUSK.
