Nantmeal Village is a sleepy historical village settled by Welsh and Irish Quakers in the 1700's. It is bounded by PA Routes 100 and 401 with PA 23 to the North. Fairview Road winds through the village, revealing many of its historical colonial and post-colonial buildings. Historical societies often arrange walking tours in the summer. It is sometimes visited on Chester County Day in the fall. The quiet of the village is disturbed by a parade of school buses on school days to pick up and drop up school child at the Camphill Special School, an extraordinary school for children with intellectual disabilities. This cache is NOT on the school grounds, and geocachers are reminded that the school grounds are private and not to be entered. Tours are available by appointment and events for the public are posted on the school's website.Come out to watch the school bus parade but do stay clear of the busses! Peak bus times are 8:30- 9 AM and 3:30 to 4 PM.
