The church was built in 1956 by the children of Palmietriver. It was built to preach the gospel for the Palmietriver congregation.
In the beginning there was a service every second Sunday and later on was reduced to once a month. They then had a service once every quarter and at the moment there is a service twice a year in this small church hall. Clergyman Hennie Meyer from Uitenhage is the active minister of the church at present.
The old pens that were used to keep cattle at bay during auctions and bazaars can still be seen to this day. Cattle were donated by the farmers in the area to the community so that it can be auctioned off to raise funds for the congregation.
Feel free to have a chat with the owner as he is very interested in geocaching and knows the area very well. He will keep an eye on the cache, so do not be afraid to start your search if he is around.
Watch out for game and cattle on the roads as well as farm workers. No need to enter the premises.
