Parking locations are shared for this cache and Stop and Smell the Flowers, originally placed by Walden Pond in 2005. This cache has been in play over 9 years and has been a quite lonely cache with only around 10 finds a year on average. It does satisfy the relatively rare D/T grid of 2/4.5 and earns every bit of the terrain rating.
This cache is a small Rubbermaid container I used around the same time Stop and Smell the Flowers was placed for teaching others about geocaching during National Trails Day in Lynchburg, VA. Since it was a temporary cache container it has been resting in my cache container archives waiting for the chance to get into the game for real. Today is the day!
When you find the cache, you can thank one of your fellow geocachers for the container assist (nameless as to protect the hide and give no preconceived notions to those who are often overcome by them seeking caches ;) ).
There is a boat ramp accessible from this same parking area if you choose to seek caches down river and use this as your starting point.
