Geocache Description:

An easy cache at a historic location.

The cache is located at Benville Bridge.  One of the few remaining bridges carrying a warning regarding injury to the bridge.  See photo and copy of the section 13 of the Act below.

This warning was taken from the Malicious Injuries to Property Act (1827), known as the 'Peel Acts' which were sponsored by Sir Robert Peel, creator of the modern Police Force, leading to a new type of officer known in tribute to him as "bobbies" (in England) and "peelers" (in Ireland).
