In steen gevat Traditional Geocache

Dit is een tuincache in het centrum van Zeist, die vanaf de openbare weg bereikbaar is. Je hoeft dus niet de tuin in. Let op het logo op het raam

This cache is set in a garden in the centre of Zeist. It is accessible from the street. So there is no need to enter the garden. Pay attention at the logo on the window

Heel lang geleden, op 16 september 1572, vertrok ridder Sir Henry Balfour vanuit Schotland naar Nederland, waar hij ging vechten voor de Prins van Oranje. In 2014 wonen er heel wat Balfoorts in Nederland. Zij stammen rechtstreeks van deze Henry Balfour af.  Eén van die Balfoorts woont op het adres in Zeist waar deze cache is verstopt en heeft op zijn reis door Schotland een travelbug, genaamd Henry Balfour, achtergelaten. Het is de bedoeling dat deze travelbug naar Nederland reist, en dus dezelfde route volgt als zijn naamgenoot in 1572. Helemaal mooi is het als Sir Henry uiteindelijk in Zeist belandt, in de tuin van zijn nazaat. Voor dat doel is deze cache gecreeerd.

A long time ago, September 16th 1572, the knight Sir Henry Balfour left from Scotland to Holland, to support the Prince of Orange during the Dutch Revolt. In Holland, the name Balfour changed into Balfoort. Today there are lots of Balfoorts in the Netherlands. They are direct descendants of this man, Henry Belfour. One of these Balfoorts lives at the address where this cache is hidden in Zeist and while travelling through Scotland, left a travelbug, named Henry Belfour. The travelbug is supposed to travel to the Netherlands, following the same route as his namesake did in 1572. It would be utterly terrific if Henry does eventually end up in Zeist, in the garden of the real Henry Balfours descendant. For that purpose we created this cache.
