0 What a View! Traditional Cache

janicelouisems: The state has replaced the hiding place and so we lost our container, but also-- more importantly-- the little "park" here has changed hands and now has "no trespassing" signs all around. It was a good ride. Thanks for all the finds!

Geocache Description:

Easy-Peasy park and grab but take time to look around in every direction; one of the highest points in the area.

This is a quick and easy find along a one-and-a-half-mile section of Ohio SR 313 known as the "Guernsey County Veterans - Flags of Honor Memorial Highway." The view is great here, particularly on a clear day. There is parking offroad (enter from Yoker Road). According to online sources, there are seven 23-foot flagpoles that line the highway with American and military flags displayed on specific days and weeks throughout the year that are designated by VFW posts and contributing organizations that include the Cambridge, Byesville, Buffalo and Kipling VFW posts. Flag display dates include Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Patriot Day, Constitution Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Pearl Harbor Day. One local man is responsible for posting, retiring and securing all flags and flagpoles.

Bring binoculars!

A somewhat suitable reward for First to Find is included, and I'll jam in a trackable, but it's really too small for anything but a log.
