The Brasov Olympic Ice Rink is a multi-purpose ice rink in Brasov, Romania. Located at no. 5 Turnului street which is 5 minutes walking distance from the railway station and easily accessible by public transportation, it was opened in January 2010.
The construction of the rink began on 16 May 2008.The initial location proposed was next to the existing Olympic Swimming Pool and Sports Hall on the Garii Boulevard, but it was then changed in favor of the Sports Park (then Tractorul Park), 730 metres north-west, in the place of a disused artificial pond.
The rink was inaugurated on the 18 January 2010, with the goal of hosting competitions at the 2013 European Youth Winter Olympic Festival.
The ice rink was first tested on 18 February 2010 by Tanja Szewczenko and Norman Jeschke and officially later that day with an ice hockey game between Corona Brasov and Steaua Rangers.
Patinoarul Olimpic Brasov este un patinoar multidisciplinar în Brasov, România. Situat la nr. 5 din strada Turnului care este la 5 minute pe jos de la statia de cale ferata si usor accesibil cu mijloacele de transport public, acesta a fost deschis în ianuarie 2010.
Constructia patinoarului a început la 16 mai anului 2008. Locul de amplasare initiala propusa a fost alaturi de Jocurile Olimpice existent Piscina si Sala Sporturilor pe Bulevardul Garii, dar a fost apoi schimbat în favoarea Parcul Sportiv (atunci Tractorul Park), 730 de metri nord-vest, în locul unui lac artificial scoase din uz.
Patinoarul a fost inaugurat pe 18 ianuarie 2010, cu scopul de a concursurilor Festivalului Olimpic de iarna de tineret.
Patinoarul a fost testat mai întâi la 18 februarie 2010 de catre Tanja Szewczenko si Norman Jeschke si oficial mai târziu cu un joc de hochei pe gheata dintre Corona Brasov si Steaua Rangers.
