Jaybird Peak is located NW of Mount Stirling and stands at 6,565 feet. The easiest access is from County Road 553A. Expect some extremely loose, steep slopes. The rocks are sharp, so gloves are recommended. Poles would help with the ascent up the scree.
***Although this is a short hike, you'll be on 45-50 degree slopes of loose boulders!! Don't rush yourself and be very careful not to knock any loose rocks on your hiking partner! I slid down about a foot for every 3 feet I climbed up while on the boulders. Also, eat a good breakfast :)
You're looking for a small tin hidden at the base of a small dead tree, under rocks. See spoiler pic.
Congratulations to MikenKaren & TheKogs for FTF!!!
